For this cruise, we chose a virtual balcony interior room. The concept of a virtual balcony was interesting and it was nice to be able to see the weather when we woke up. The screen was a little glitchy, but there were curtains to close it up at night, so it didn’t wake you up. Excursions in Dominican Republic (where the ship diverted to because things in Haiti were bad so the Labadee stop was ...
Balcony rooms are small - smaller than Celebrity and a squeeze for two - shower ok but can’t swing a cat in the bathroom. Restaurants & bars are good/satisfactory although buffet not as choiceful as Celebrity. Staff - as all cruises - are very good. BUT if you're thinking of cruising Japan in Spring - DON’T waste your money. Firstly NCL April sailing is far too late for the blossom - it’s ...
Our experience aboard the Carnival Conquest Cruise Line was phenomenal! From the moment we stepped on board, we were greeted by the warmest and most welcoming staff we've ever encountered. Everyone—from the housekeeping team to the waitstaff—was incredibly friendly, professional, and always eager to help. The level of service made us feel truly valued and pampered throughout the entire ...
Probably will not sail Carnival again. Dirty windows, stinky hallways and noisy kids. By the end of the cruise the pool water appeared dingy brown and dirty. Smokers are crammed on the 10th floor with limited ashtrays. Had to search for an elevator to get to the 10th floor, because there is only one that we were aware of that goes to the 10th. Cost for a rum and coke, $11.59. Some food in ...
We are a couple that traveled without our teenage children. I’m a 37 year old female and my husband is 43. We did not find many activities. Mini golf was very tiny and crowded. We did some shopping that was nice. Hot tubs were always overcrowded and wasn’t always opened. Hot tubs were very cool, Luke warm at best. We never got in a pool due to overcrowding and children.
Service was not ...
We just got back from a 4 night cruise on the Celebrity Silhouette with stops in Key West and Bimini. This was our first time cruising with Retreat and we were excited to experience it.
Lots of positives including the celebrity suite, which worked great for us and our 7 year old. The balcony had a large table so we chose to order room service often to eat out there. The bathroom was spacious ...
Stayed in the Haven Suite. This is our 5 th cruise. All the staff all over the ship were friendly and hard working. The Haven food is very good. The Buffet food was mediocre at best. Specialty restaurants were good. The Tepanyaki was excellent ( I don't like Tepanyaki).
The ship was in good condition.
Only complaint was the mattress in the room, had the steward flip the mattress and ...
We stayed in a balcony room with large balcony. The room’s finished had been updated; however, one of my pet peeves is no charging outlets at the bed. They did have a plug on one side, but not the other.
The Marketplace buffet was overly crowded each time I visited it, and the food was “meh”, even for cruise buffet food.
The gym was undersized for this size ship.
I used the thermal spa ...
We have been on both the Brilliance of the Seas and Jewel of the Seas, so some past experience and expectations with this size ship. We left from Tampa, which was a first for us, and not a bad experience overall. Getting to the port was somewhat of a pain, but everything else was smooth. We decided to have a Junior Suite and overall room was perfect. Located at the back of the ship, we hope ...
The ship is very clean and well kept. The main dinning room staffs were very friendly. Specially Ankit and Paritosh they did wonderful job. My wife and I love the Tampa Bay port, however I think Royal caribbean needs to build new ships suitable for the Tampa Bay market. They don't have to be big ships, but more modernized. So we can have "MINI WONDER OF THE SEAS OR MINI ICON" in Tampa Bay. ...
