Disappointment at Sea.

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Coral Geographer

In the Frame
6-10 Cruises • Age 70s

Ship had excellent design and facilities,. Cabins excellent. Pre ordering meals was a great way to reduce food waste. Expeditions and expedition leaders were very good. Meals were average and sometimes not as hot as one would expect particularly at breakfast when bacon was always cool. The major disappointment happened as we departed Darwin Harbour then dropped anchor and remained there 2 full ...

Friendly, relaxed small ship

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Coral Adventurer

10+ Cruises • Age 69s

Lovely small ship max 120. No TV but nightly movies, shared tables in the dining room good food with lots of local produce, no room service, excellent crew and service. Very good lectures about destinations and nature. Expeditions …..you board directly from the ship and are lowered by platform to the sea….so easy! You mainly travel by Xplor, a small vessel with comfy seats and shade. The ship ...

Viking ships are always great

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Viking Polaris

Nonna2HandV
10+ Cruises • Age 72s

Beautiful Viking ship! It was smaller than the ocean ships but larger than the riverboats. It still had everything you’d expect from Viking. Nice bars and attentive wait staff. Fantastic food, lovely suite, and great exercise room. Of course, Viking service is exceptional! Italian restaurant was great. Do not miss that! Spa was nice, too. We had a couple of bad weather days which cancelled ...

Fabulous Cruise, A Wonderful Experience

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Fridtjof Nansen

Teapot7
6-10 Cruises • Age 66s

Fabulous Cruise and a wonderful experience. Excellent housekeeping onboard (Mark on deck 8 was a star) and the Lindstrom Restaurant exceptional. Medum, Chatey, Jodel, Edward and Marjo expertly managed by their superb catering Manager (whom we had previously met on Maud) Their professionalism demonstrated by their ability to combine a sleek restaurant service with an element of fun ! Quality of ...

In many ways a disappointment

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Maud

Keen Expeditioners
2-5 Cruises • Age 69s

As expected the crew were fantastic and the itinerary excellent. BUT overall the experience did not meet expectations, especially considering what it cost. The demographic ratio of the passengers, with over 75% being Chinese speaking and the rest 'westerners', had at times a negative impact on the cruise. Only buffet meals with much of the food having an Asian focus, with result of no 'a la carte' ...

Viking Well worth the Cost

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Viking Octantis

Love the USA
2-5 Cruises • Age 65s

This was our first Viking cruise. The staff on the ship was wonderful. They took pride in greeting and helping guest. I am gluten free/ dairy free- Mark, the pastry chef and Lucia, a server in the World Cafe made sure I had an abundant selection of muffins, cookies, waffles, bread, oat milk and even dairy free gelato. The food selection in the cafe offered grilled to perfection steak, pork, ...

INTERESTING DESTINATION - BAD STANDARD

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Aranui 5

lucie-balgooyen
6-10 Cruises • Age 62s

The Marquesas Islands are a wonderful destination off the beaten track. The 12-day-cruise on Aranui 5 is one of the few options to visit the islands and included ports of call in Bora Bora (Society Islands) and Fakarava and Rangiroa (Tuamotos). Ship: The fact that Aranui 5 is a combined cruise and cargo ship is interesting. The bridge is open to passengers and its fun to watch the crew ...

Great Lakes a must SEE

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Viking Octantis

Our first expedition cruise. Long time Viking cruiser. This has been our best experience of all Viking cruises. Staff extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Went out of their way to help even without asking. Food was very good and tasty and plentiful. Desserts, cookies, breads, ice cream were irresistible. Cabin-king size bed, large curved glass walk-in shower with heated floors. Floor to ...

A wonderful cruise

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Coral Adventurer

Birdphotos
First Time Cruiser • Age 67s

Our trip with Coral expeditions along the Kimberley coast was our first cruise. It was an incredible experience. The highlights were the expeditions on the Explorers and Zodiacs, so we were able to see such remote sites. The rock formations and Indigenous art were stunning. It was breathtaking to see Montgomery reef, the Horizontal falls and King George River. What a thrilling ride in the Zodiac ...
