I always read negative comments. And yes those are peoples experiences, but not mine. It was my second time sailing with MSC. I previously sailed on the flagship (in the time of writing this) the World Europa. And later the Odyssey of the Seas of RCI. So I know what I can expect from a cruise. The Magnifica is a nice ship. Not the biggest but also not small. A easy to figure out lay-out. Nice ...
Most things were just one step poorer than we've encountered on other cruise lines. To start they cancelled second port day in Kyoto that was the reason we picked this trip in the first place, just ended up cruising around at 9 knots for no reason or explanation (saving port costs?). Embarkation was chaotic. Buffet was small, poor and terribly over-crowded. Half of what should have been the ...
Cruise is clean and shows are awesome . But not a good option for vegetarian people. Main dining room don’t have vegetarian option at all and when you told them to make vegetarian food they will miss match and make something and serve you! So no use of dining room for vegetarian people!
For buffet, serve same veggie food all 4 days. No veggie main course for variety in buffet!
Thy have ...
The only thing good about this cruise was the staff...especially in fine dining. All staff was happy to answer questions and seemed happy to serve us. In fact, I had to ask the staff several times how to find my way around bc the ship has a weird design and elevators don't go directly to floor you want. Gota take one elevator to one level and then walk further to mid-ship to take another elevator ...
First off, I rented a scooter from Scootaround. The problem I had was when I rode my scooter to room way on the aft side when I was in forward to start with. The doorway was just big enough to get my scooter in the doorway but for some reason there was an overstuffed chair in the right corner of our room. I asked them or the stateroom attendant if the chair could be removed from our room, leaving ...
While the overall cruise was ok, food could have been better. I had a horrific incident where I found a piece of glass was found in dessert. While the head waiter came by, I heard nothing back from them again. I was worried what would have happened if kids ate that. The ship was over crowded in the pools and the corridors / floors were a bit smelly. The service staff were very nice though. Have ...
Our seven-day tropical Caribbean cruise on Holland America’s Nieuw Amsterdam was absolutely amazing!
We booked two cabins, one an accessible category SA Neptune suite on the Rotterdam deck and the other a category VB standard veranda state room on the veranda deck.
When we arrived at Port Everglades on Sunday, check-in was a breeze. We just went through security and used facial recognition ...
We were supposed to leave on the 24th. Ship was stuck in drydock, so we left on the 26th. The ship was absolutely not ready, it should've stayed in drydock. Only 2 hot tubs open and they are not hot. Nothing open in the solarium. After a few days into the cruise they have 4 hotubs open and the pool is open in the solarium. No hotubs are hot and none of them are covered. The pool in the ...
We just got off the Getaway yesterday.
47, 40, and a 12 year old - first time cruisers.
The embarkation process was super smooth. We got in line at 11:30 (apparently a popular time) and were on the ship in about 30 minutes. Disembarkation was equally as smooth. We had an airport transfer and made it to the airport in plenty of time.
Food:
Savor and Taste were fantastic. We actually ...
The arrival time to New Orleans was delayed 2 times. There was a brawl of 2 families fighting which was horrible. I took my first cruise for thanksgiving because my family member talked me into going. The dinner experience was horrible two nights we only seen our waitress once and they took hours to bring our food. Also one of the waitress gave our starters to another table. I spent all this money ...
